Killing Romeo by Jazz Martinez - Gamboa

La Montanya Ltd Productions presents Killing Romeo, written & directed by Jazz Martinez - Gamboa, at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre, a 70-seat fringe venue in Kentish Town, north London, from 21 May to 8 June 2013.

Cast includes Antoinette Alexandrou and Alex Marx. Designed by Roberta Bratovic, lighting by Scott Pryce-Jones.

Two actors rehearse late into the night, trying to find the reality in their characters, Romeo & Juliet. Alone together in the rehearsal space, desperate for success, and carrying hidden scars of the past, the innocent infatuation of the star-crossed lovers becomes perverted by the actors’ obsessions. Old scars open up and turn into bleeding wounds.
