Larisa and the Merchants by Ostrovsky - Arcola Studio

Insite Performance presents Larisa and the Merchants, by Alexander Ostrovsky, in a new version by Samuel Adamson, at the Arcola Studio 2 Theatre, a fringe venue in east London, from 1 May to 1 June 2013.

Directed by Jacqui Honess-Martin, designed by Signe Beckmann , lighting by Kristina Hjelm, sound by Tim Middleton.

Cast includes Ben Addis, Brendan Gregory, Jennifer Kidd, Annabel Leventon, Tarek Merchant, Sam Phillips, Morgan Philpott , Jack Wilkinson.

In a trading town on the banks of the Volga the merchants smell a bargain. Larisa is for sale. A beautiful but penniless young woman, she has given up the fight for love and any husband will do. Then suddenly more than one offer is on the table.
