Mamma Mia! cast changes from 10 June at Novello

Major cast changes from 10 June 2013, in Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre.

Dianne Pilkington takes over the role of 'Donna Sheridan'. Her recent West End credits include Master Class at the Vaudeville Theatre (2012), The 39 Steps at the Criterion (2010), and as Glinda in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria for three years (2007 - 2010).

Also joining the cast are Jane Milligan (Rosie), Richard Trinder (Sam), Emma Crossley (Sophie Sheridan), Oliver Tilney (Sky), Jessica Daley (Ali), Stephanie Clift (Lisa), Dickie Wood (Pepper) and Dan Krikler (Eddie).

Continuing with the show are: Kim Ismay (Tanya), Neil Roberts (Harry Bright), and James Gaddas (Bill Austin). At certain performances, the role of Donna Sheridan will continue to be played by Claire Poyzer.

Based on the songs of ABBA, Mamma Mia! opened in London at the Prince Edward Theatre on 6th April 1999, following previews from 23rd March 1999. It transferred to the Prince of Wales theatre on 3 June 2004 to 1 Sep 2012, and transferred to the Novello Theatre from 6 Sep 2012, where it is currently taking bookings to 5 April 2014.

Worldwide, Mamma Mia! has been seen by more than 54 million people in 38 productions in 14 different languages grossing more than $2 billion at the box office.

A film adaptation of the stage show was released in 2008 titled "Mamma Mia! The Movie".

A story of a mother and daughter set on the eve of the daughter's wedding, the musical has music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and book by Catherine Johnson.

It is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.

It is choreographed by Anthony Van Laast and directed by Phyllida Lloyd.
