Sedos Summer Festival at Bridewell 10 - 27 July 2013


Sedos theatre company presents a Summer Festival of three shows at the Bridewell Theatre, in city of London, from 10 - 27 July 2013.

Enron, by Lucy Prebble, 10 to 14 July 2013. Directed by Matt Hudson, cast includes Chris Warren, Chris de Pury, Alyse Webster, Alex Magliaro. Charts the notorious rise and fall of Enron and its founding partners Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling, who became 'the most vilified figure from the financial scandal of the century'.

Autobahn, by Neil LaBute, 16 to 20 July 2013. Directed by Jacqui Adams, cast includes Elizabeth Kingsman, Leon Chambers, Skyla Loureda, Sam Smullen, Katerina Georgiou, Gerry Skeens, Rob Page, Valentina Petito, Andy Marchant, Paul Gibbins, Elizabeth Daly, Sarah Beebe, Maria Waters, Eddie Register. Autobahn is a collection of plays that deal with some hardhitting subject matter with characteristically dark humour, presenting characters that audience members can simultaneously empathise with and be repulsed by.

A Man of No Importance , book by Terrence McNally; music by Stephen Flaherty; lyrics by Lyynn Ahrens, from 23 to 27 July 2013. Directed by Matt Gould, choreography by Sarah Evans, cast includes James Franey, Chloe Faine, Rick Woska, Sarah Shepherd, Paul Francis, Paul Cozens, Stephen Beeny, Susan Booth, Maggie Robson, Lucy Allenby, Charlotte Price, Pete Bryans, Edward Mann, David Leigh Delport, Andrew Macpherson, Luke Renwick. Set in Dublin in 1964, where bus conductor and Oscar Wilde fan Alfie has ambitions to stage Salome, despite the objections at St Imelda’s, where his amateur theatre group is based. When a newcomer to town, Adele, joins his passengers, he realises he has the right person for the title role and assembles his cast.

Sedos,is a registered charity with a membership of over 200, is an amateur theatre company that puts on eight to 10 shows a year. The society was founded in 1905 by senior members of the stock exchange and although the membership now includes an eclectic mix from all over London, we maintain firm links with the City.
