The Taming of the Shrew by Tower Theatre

Tower Theatre presents The Taming of the Shrew, by William Shakespeare, at the Theatro Technis Theatre, a 120-seat venue near Camden, north London, from 14 to 18 May 2013.

Directed by Penny Tuerk, lighting by Nick Insley, costumes by David Taylor and Lynda Twidale, sound by Phillip Ley.

Cast includes Shane Sweeney (Petruchio), Anna Fiorentini (Katherina), Ian Grant (Baptista), Elizabeth Kingsman Smith (Bianca), Daniel Watson (Grumio), Lindsay Fletcher (Hortensio), Daniel Bogod (Lucentio), Martin Shaw (Tranio), Peter Novis (Biondello), John Morton (Gremio) , Daniel Watson (Vincentio), Christopher Yates (Merchant ), Anna Whitelock (The Widow & Curtis)

All the young (and not so young) men in Verona are in love with Bianca, but her father won't allow any of them to woo her until her elder sister Katherina is married. However, no-one is prepared to take on Katherina's independent spirit and notoriously fiery temper until Petruchio arrives in town.

The Tower Theatre Company , founded in 1932 celebrated its 80th anniversary last year. It currently has more than 700 members and friends and presents up to 18 productions a year, often at the Bridewell Theatre in the City of London as well as in other venues around North and East London.
