The West End Men concert with Lee Mead and guests


The West End Men, a theatrical concert, opens at the Vaudeville Theatre 3 June 2013, following previews from 25 May - running to 22 June 2013.

Starring Lee Mead, David Thaxton, Matt Willis, plus on selected performances special guests Kerry Ellis, Glenn Carter, Stephen Rahman Hughes.

Features songs from the West End, Broadway and Beyond in theatrical style, backed by a full live band and choir.

It is directed by Mitch Sebastian, designed by Kate Unwin, sound by Andy Johnson, and produced by Milton Morrissey Ltd, Jason Haigh Ellery and in association with Paul Tyrer & Jamie Clark for The Booking Office.

Lee Mead is well known as the winner of the BBC series Any Dream Will Do that led to him playing the role of Joseph from July 2007 to June 2008. He then released the songs Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door. In 2008 Lee performed All I Ask Of You in Hyde Park to celebrate Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 60th Birthday celebrations. He also played the role of Fiyero in the West End musical Wicked and also starred in the West End production of Legally Blonde.

David Thaxton recently starred in the Donmar Warehouse's Passion, for which he won the 2011 Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He previously appeared as Enjolras in the West End production of Les Miserables and was part of the 21st Anniversary Cast.

Matt Willis is best known for being one third of British pop rock band Busted. Matt’s stage credits include Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, Flashdance the Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre.


Glenn Carter stage credits include Jersey Boys, Whistle Down the Wind, Hamlet, Les Miserables, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease, Chess, Godspell, Alfie, and Merrily We Roll Along.

Stephen Rahman Hughes stage credits include West Side Story and Bombay Dreams. He is also an award winning choreographer, receiving the Jerwood Award for Hedo-scetic (RainRed Dance Theatre), the Peter Darrell Choreographer’s award for Stravinsky's Renard (Scottish Ballet), he choreographed the pop promo Devil’s Nightmare for Oxide and Nuetrino which was on the soundtrack for Tomb Raider and won a MOBO award for best video.

Kerry Ellis originated the role of Meat, in Queen's We Will Rock You and was the first British Elphaba in the West End's Wicked. Her many other leading role credits include Nancy in Oliver! at the London Palladium, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Ellen in Miss Saigon and Fantine in Les Miserables.
