Calendar Girls West End bound!
The producers of the stage adaptation of the film, Calendar Girls, said the show will get a West End run at the end of the year, following a UK tour, although, no dates or theatre have been confirmed yet!
The play will be at the Chichester Festival from 5 to 27 Sep, then several other cities in the UK to 13 December 2008, before the expected West End transfer.
The new stage play by Tim Firth, adapted from his own screenplay for the 2003 film, will star Lynda Bellingham, Patricia Hodge, Sian Phillips, Gaynor Faye, Brigit Forsyth, Julia Hills, Elaine C Smith, Joan Blackham, Abby Francis, Gary Lilburn, Gerard McDermot, Carl Prekopp.
It is directed by Hamish McColl, designed by Robert Jones,lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, costumes by Emma Williams and music by Steve Parry.
Produced by David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers in association with Chichester Festival Theatre.
