Fat Pig transfers Comedy 11 Sep 2008 cast changes

Fat Pig, will transfer to the Comedy Theatre , on 11 Sep 2008, after its run finishes at the Trafalgar Studios 1 on 6 Sep 2008.

There are cast changes when the show transfers: Kevin Bishop (Carter) & Nicholas Burns (Tom), replace current cast members Kris Marshall & Robert Webb. Joanna Page (Jeannie) & Ella Smith (Helen), continue in their roles.

Fat Pig, written and directed by Neil LaBute opened at the Trafalgar Studios 1 27 May 2008, following previews from 16 May to reasonable notices from the popular press: THE EVENING STANDARD says, "Induces waves of laughter." THE INDEPENDENT says, "Snappy production." THE STAGE says, "LaBute fails to find enough substance in the piece." THE TIMES says, "Sassy, dangerously comic dialogue and some subtle observation."

When Tom first meets Helen there is an instant connection, but its not exactly love at first sight... Helen is a bright, funny, sexy young woman who happens to be plus-sized - and then some - so its only so long before the insults start to fly from Tom's shallow yet shockingly funny office buddies.

Kevin Bishop' is the star of Channel 4’s “The Kevin Bishop Show”. His London stage credits include "Pete and Dud Come Again" at The Venue. His BBC credits include “Hotel Babylon”, “Love Soup”, “According to Bex”, “In Deep”, “Casualty”, “Dangerfield”, “Silent Witness” and “My Family”.

Nicholas Burns has starred on television in “Benidorm”, “Absolute Power”, “Man Stroke Woman” and in the title role of “Nathan Barley”. His London stage work includes “The Madness of George Dubya” and “The Libertine”.
