RICHARD WILSON TO STAR IN NEW "PETER PAN" MUSICAL


Richard Wilson will star as 'Captain Hook' in a new fully-staged musical production of Peter Pan : A Musical Adventure, at the Royal Festival Hall from 19th Dec 02 for 32 performances only to 11th Jan 03 (Booking now open!!)

Based on J.M. Barrie's original play, thisproduction has music by George Stiles, lyrics by Anthony Drewe and a book by Willis Hall. It is directed by Ian Talbot, designed by Will Bowen and costumes by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

The performances will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Richard Wilson's , London Stage credits include "What the Butler Saw" at the National in 1995. He has also directed "Tom and Clem" at the Aldwych in 1997; and for the Royal Court... "Four" in 1998; "Toast" in 1999; "Mr Kolpert" in 2000; "I Just Stopped to See a Man" in 2000; "Nightingale and Chase" in 2002; and "Where Do We Live" in 2002. However, he is best known for his role as grumpy old man 'Victor Meldrew' in the TV series "One Foot in the Grave".

In addition to the show, the ballroom of the Royal Festival Hall will be transformed into a NeverLand inspired by the work of children from LOndon schools. The space will be animated with interactive sight and sound and full of surprises!
