VAGINA MONOLOGUES TO CLOSE 12TH OCT 02 FINAL CASTS ANNOUNCED


The Vagina Monologues, is to close on 12th Oct 02 at the Arts Theatre. (The show starts a UK tour from 9th Sep 02)

The cast from 9th to 21st Sep 02 will be Mina Anwar, Natasha Little and Deborah Weston

The cast from 23rd Sep to 12th Oct 02 will be Trudie Styler, Mina Anwar and Harriet Thorpe.

Mina Anwar is best known as 'WPC Maggie Habib' in the BBC comedy "The Thin Blue Line". Her film credits include 'Shikha' in "Flight".

Natasha Little's film credits include "Greenfingers" "The Criminal", "Kevin And Perry Go Large", "Another Life" and "A Clandestine Marriage"

Debora Weston's, West End credits include "Chapter Two" at the Gielgud in 1996, "Popcorn" at the Apollo Theatre in 1997, "The Seven Year Itch" at the Queens in 2000, and most recently "Up for Grabs" with Madonna early this year..


Trudie Styler, is the wife of rock star Sting. She has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and her film credits include "Me Without You " and "The Grotesque" (also known as "Gentlemen Don't Eat Poets")


Harriet Thorpe is best known as 'Fleur' in TV comedy "Absolutely Fabulous"; and as 'Carole Parkinson' in TV's comedy "The Brittas Empire". And 'Lorraine Hamilton' in Tv soap "Crossroads".

This production of The Vagina Monologues opened at the New Ambassadors Theatre on 10th May 01. It then transferred to the Arts Theatre on 23rd Oct 01 and then transferred back to the New Ambassadors on 26th Feb 02 and then transferred back to Arts Theatre 25th June 02

The Vagina Monologues is written by Eve Ensler, designed by Bunny Christie with lighting by Chris Davey.

Based on interviews with a diverse group of women - from a Long Island antique dealer to a Bosnian refugee - the play brazenly explores the humour, power, pain, wisdom, outrage, mystery and excitement hidden in vaginas.
