MICHAEL GAMBON BACK ON LONDON STAGE IN "A NUMBER " AT ROYAL COURT



Michael Gambon will star in Caryl Churchill's A Number, alongside Daniel Craig at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs. The play, which was to start its run on 12th Sep, will now run from 23rd Sep 02 to 16th Nov 02 to accommodate Gambon's Schedule. The new press (opening) night will be on 26th Sep 02.

Michael Gambon was last on the West End stage in 2001 in Harold Pinter's "The Caretaker" at the Comedy Theatre. His other London stage credits include "Cressida" at the Albery in 2000; "Tom and Clem" at the Aldwych in 1997; "The Unexpected Man" at the Barbican Pit and Duchess theatres 1998; "Skylight" at the Cottesloe, NT & Wyndham's Theatres in 95/96; "Volpone" at the Lyttelton, NT in 1995. He is also well known for his part in the TV drama "The Singing Detective".

Daniel Craig's London stage credits include "Hurlyburly" at the Old Vic in 1997.

A Number is directed by Stephen Daldry, designed by Ian MacNeil, with lighting by Rick Fisher.
