I'd Like To Teach The World to Sing: One night only 24 Feb 2008 at Her Majesty's


For one night only on Sunday 24th February 2008, I'd Like To Teach The World to Sing, a star studded cast perform the songs that made them famous.

Over 50 celebrities from the worlds of stage and screen will pay tribute to the life and achievements of world-leading vocal coach, Ian Adam who taught many stars of stage and screen to sing including, Sting, Lulu, Boy George, Michael Crawford, Michael Ball and Sarah Brightman. All proceeds from the event will go towards Singing for Breathing, a project that aims to help patients with respiratory problems at Royal Brompton Hospital, where Ian was treated for many years.

Directed by Gillian Lynne, the *performers include:

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Julian Lloyd Webber playing together in public for only the second time ever – they will be playing Andrew’s Pie Jesu
Elaine Page singing Memory
Jonathan Pryce sings American Dream from Miss Saigon
Jeremy Irons – Song to be announced
Wayne Sleep and Ian Waite in a new choreographed routine to Change Partners
Anthony Andrews singing I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face from My Fair Lady
Sian Philips sings Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered
Sally Ann Howes returns to the West End Stage after 15 years to sing Send In The Clowns by Stephen Sondheim.
Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone in a show stopping rendition of She’s Not There
Helena Bonham Carter introduces scenes from the film version of Sweeney Todd
Liz Robertson sings a specially created medley from My Fair Lady
Bonnie Langford singing Tone Deaf
Peter French singing If We Only Have Love and In Between Goodbyes
