Baz from the Daily Mail has reported that Glenn Close, the Oscar-nominated American actress, could be starring as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard for a limited run at the English National Opera in either spring 2016 or 2017. This new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical adaptation of the 1950 Billy Wilder film of the same name would mark Close's debut on the opera stage.
