Royal Court Theatre announces cast for two productions


The Royal Court Theatre has announced cast for two of its productions.

Meera Syal If You Donít Let Us Dream, We Won't Let You Dream, opens in Theatre Downstairs, 20 Feb 2013, folowing previews from 15 Feb - running to 9 March 2013. Directed Simon Godwin, starring Meera Syal , Susan Brown, Ben Dilloway, Laura Elphinstone, Daniel Kendrick, Damien Molony, Lucian Msamati, Ferdy Roberts . As the financial world issues its shock treatment, what happens when the Cityís agenda is taken to its ultimate conclusion? New play explodes the ethos of austerity and offers an alternative. Meera Syal credits include Much Ado About Nothing at the RSC, Killing of Sister George at the Arts Theatre, Shirley Valentine at the Menier Chocolate Factory & Trafalgar Studios. On screen, she is perhaps best known for The Kumars at Number 42 and Goodness Gracious Me.

Owen Teale A Time to Reap, by Anna Wakulik, translated by Catherine Grosvenor, opens in Theatre Upstairs, 27 Feb 2013, following previews from 22 Feb - running to 23 March 2013. Directed Caroline Steinbeis, starring Owen Teale (Jan), Max Bennett (Piotr), Sinead Matthews (Marysia). From a forested Polish village to the blinding lights of London, A Time to Reap looks at one womanís story against the mountain landscape of an evolving nation and one of Polandís hottest political topics Ė abortion and the Catholic Church. Owen Teale credits at the Royal Court include The Country. Elsewhere his most recent theatre credits include Creditors at the Donmar Warehouse. On screen, his credits include Stella on Sky1, BBCís Line of Duty, Game of Thrones (HBO) and Kidnap and Ransom (ITV).
