Major cast changes in Les Miserables at Queen's



There are major cast changes in Les Miserables, at the Queen's Theatre, from 17 June 2013.

Wendy Ferguson as ‘Madame Thénardier’, Carrie Hope Fletcher makes her adult West End debut as ‘Eponine’, and making their West End debuts are Na-Young Jeon as ‘Fantine’, Rob Houchen as ‘Marius’ and Anton Zetterholm as ‘Enjolras’.

The musical will continue to fetaure Geronimo Rauch as ‘Jean Valjean’, Tam Mutu as ‘Javert’, Cameron Blakely as ‘Thénardier’ and Samantha Dorsey as ‘Cosette’.

Wendy Ferguson recently played ‘Carlotta’ in “The Phantom of the Opera” at Her Majesty’s Theatre and the 25th Anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall and ‘Widow Corney’ in “Oliver!” at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Carrie Hope Fletcher returns to “Les Miserables” as ‘Eponine’ having played ‘Young Eponine’ at the Palace Theatre in 2001.

The Cameron Mackintosh/Royal Shakespeare Company production of Les Miserables originally opened at the Barbican Theatre on 8 Oct 1985. It transferred to the Palace Theatre on 4 December 1985 and moved to its current home at the Queen's Theatre on 3 April 2004, and is currently taking bookings to 26 April 2014.

Les Miserables, which concerns Love and bravery in 19th century France during the revolutionary struggles, is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, based on the novel by Victor Hugo. It has lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, with original text by Alain Boublil and additional material by James Fenton. It is adapted and directed by Trevor Nunn and John Caird.
