Set the Deep South of the U.S.A. in 1926. A servants Independence Day party in full swing at a plantation in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. The heat of the cotton fields is heightening the passion and lust of the partygoers, no one is effected more than the young Miss Julie. This adaptation focuses on the racial upheaval in the southern states known as the "Great Migration" and the struggle between power and love.
