Legally Blonde drops Sunday perfs from Sep, replaced with Tuesday perfs - Cast recording released 16 August 2010.



Legally Blonde The Musical will drop its Sunday performances from Sep 2010, replaced with Tuesday performances. The last Sunday performance will be on 5 Sep and the first Tuesday performance will be on 14 Sep 2010.

The original London live cast recording of Legally Blonde The Musical starring Sheridan Smith, Duncan James, Jill Halfpenny, Peter Davison and Alex Gaumond and coordinated for First Night Records by John Craig, will be released on 16 August 2010. Recorded at the Savoy Theatre. The cast of the show will be signing the new cast recording at Dress Circle (57-59 Monmouth Street, London WC2H 9DG) on Saturday 21 August at 12noon.

Legally Blonde The Musical, opened at the Savoy Theatre 13 Jan 2010, following previews from 5 Dec, to positive notices from the popular press press: Paul Taylor for The Independent says, "Totally blown away...it's ridiculously enjoyable from start to finish." Benedict Nightingale for The Times says, "Delightful, annoying, supremely wishful musical..." Henry Hitchings for The Evening Standard says, "It's energetic and amusing."

The current cast includes Sheridan Smith (Elle Woods), Richard Fleeshman (Warner), Alex Gaumond (Emmett), Susan McFadden (Serena), Aoife Mulholland (Brooke), Peter Davison (Callahan), Jill Halfpenny (Paulette).

It has music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, book by Heather Hach. Orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke.

It is directed & choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, designed by David Rockwell, costumes by Gregg Barnes, lighting by Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller, sound by ACME Sound Partners. Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Robert G Bartner, Ambassador Theatre Group and Jamie Hendry Productions.
