GOD'S COUNTRY, by Steven Dietz, 19 to 23 Oct 2010. Directed by Gary Diomandes, produced by Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Docu-drama takes a close look at the shocking history of the white supremacist movement in the USA. White nationalist Robert Matthews founded a dangerous paramilitary group The Order. God’s Country tells of his hate-filled career and consequent demise and of the murder of Denver talk-radio personality Alan Berg – outspoken, controversial and Jewish.

NINA & SHAZ, a musical drama by Laura McCluskey, 2 to 6 Nov 2010. What if Martin Luther King didn’t have a dream, huh? Would Y’all be dreamin’ your big dreams? Nina Simone and Shazne, two women, both young, gifted and black, are bound together across generations through violence, civil rights and shattered dreams. Both seize the courage to speak out through their music.

ONE DAY AT A TIME, by Phil Fox, 9 to 12 Nov 2010. produced by Outside Edge Theatre Company. Looking at how Bill Wilson co-founded with Dr Bob Smith Alcoholics Anonymous, helped it grow and then set it free. Bill Wilson struggles to stay sober. Criticised by fellow recovering alcoholics, Bill meets with an old friend who suggests a path through his troubles. Following suggestions Bill risks all and sparks off events leading to the greatest chapter in AA’s history.
