Good People transfers to the Noel Coward Theatre

The Hampstead Theatre's production of Good People will transfer to the Noel Coward Theatre in the West End, opening on 15 Apr, following previews from 10 Apr, running until 14 Jun 2014.

David Lindsay-Abaire's play, starring Imelda Staunton, gained positive notices after opening at the Hampstead Theatre, north London on 5 Mar 2014. It will replace the Noel Coward's current tennant, The Full Monty , which announced closing notices early this week, and will now depart the West End on 29 Mar.

The production is directed by Jonathan Kent and will be produced in the West End by Hampstead Theatre and Old Vic Productions. The cast for the transfer includes Imelda Staunton and Lloyd Owen, with further casting yet to be announced.

Good People traces the path of a woman's life when a chance encounter with an old flame presents an opportunity to improve the quality of her existence but ends in disaster. Staunton plays sharp-tongued single mother Margie, who will do anything it takes to pay the bills after losing yet another job, and decides to corner her old boyfriend to reclaim past loyalties.
