Full cast announced The Tempest at Shakespeare Globe

The full cast has been announced for William Shakespeare's The Tempest , directed by Jeremy Herrin, which opens at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, 2 May 2013, following previews from 23 April - running to 18 Aug 2013.

Joining previously mentioned Roger Allam (Prospero), Colin Morgan (Ariel), Jessie Buckley (Miranda), are Jason Baughan, Sam Cox, Pip Donaghy, Trevor Fox, James Garnon, Peter Hamilton-Dyer, Joshua James, William Mannering, Sarah Sweeney, Amanda Wilkin.

Prospero, Duke of Milan, usurped and exiled by his own brother, holds sway over an enchanted island. He is comforted by his daughter Miranda and served by his spirit Ariel and his deformed slave Caliban. When Prospero raises a storm to wreck this perfidious brother and his confederates on the island, his long contemplated revenge at last seems within reach.

This production will employ Renaissance costumes and staging.
