Silver Street Theatre School and Youth Theatre summer classes


The Millfield Theatre and Arts Centre has announced its Silver Street Theatre School and Youth Theatre summer classes.

Youth and Children’s Drama and Dance
SUMMER TERM 2003

SILVER STREET YOUTH THEATRE (ages 14 - 21)
Physical theatre and text work using dramatic styles and skills of Laban, Brecht, Frantic Assembly, Berkoff, Complicité etc.
Meets at Millfield House:
Fridays 6.30pm – 9pm
SUMMER TERM Start date: Friday 2nd May – Friday 11th July
Maximum 40 students

Cost £75 per term (Only £3 per hour for sessions with professional tutor/s!)

If students have attended Theatre School or Youth Theatre they do not need to audition Otherwise auditions are scheduled for the end of April.

Silver Street Youth Theatre (SSYT) stages two performances a year at Millfield.


MILLFIELD THEATRE and ARTS CENTRE THEATRE SCHOOL: SUMMER TERM 2003

SILVER STREET THEATRE SCHOOL (age 8-16)
Teaches DANCE styles such as jazz, hiphop and street styles, SINGING classes cover different genres of musical theatre styles, and DRAMA classes devise/encourage character, improvisation and imagination.

Sundays 11am -2pm
Meets Millfield House.
SUMMER TERM Start date: Sunday 4th May – Sunday 13th July

Cost £165 per term There are 11 Theatre School sessions this term and at £15 per session, this means that classes are only £5 per hour!

Your child’s performance classes can now all be at the same venue, on the same day! Silver Street Theatre School is a regular Sunday morning session of THREE fun hours of dance, drama and singing - all taught by professional tutors/performers.

Join now or come along for a FREE trial session to find out more. This is a great way to, make friends, learn new skills, enjoy Sunday mornings and gain confidence too!
Classes are divided into three different age groups.
Each class will stage one presentation/show at the end of term.


SILVER STREET JUNIORS (ages 4-7)
Teaches DANCE styles from jazz, to hip hop and street styles, SINGING classes cover fun musical styles, and DRAMA classes encourage improvisation and imagination.

Sundays Group 1: 10.30am-12.00pm (age 4-5)
Sundays Group 2: 12.30pm- 2pm (age 6-7)
SUMMER TERM Start date: Sunday 4th May – Sunday 13th July

Maximum 20 students per group £85 per term
There are 10 Juniors sessions this term and at less than £6.50 per session, - classes are less than £6 hr.

Your child’s performance classes can now all be at the same venue, on the same day!
Silver Street Juniors is a regular Sunday morning session of 1 1/2 fun hours of dance, drama and singing - all taught by professional tutors/performers.
Each class will stage one presentation/show at the end of term. Join now or come along for a FREE trial session to find out more. This is a great way to gain confidence, make friends and have fun!

Plus Mon 31 Mar 03 Public Dress Rehearsal at 4.30 pm £4

Over 20 schools, from all over Enfield, will be performing in this years' LEA Dance Festival. This is a real chance to observe the variety of dance that is taught in schools today, and this years' theme is 'Dancing across the Curriculum'. Children as young as 5 – as well as GCSE Dance and A Level groups - will be performing on stage.
