Deep Blue Sea at Vaudeville from 29 Apr 2008

The Theatre Royal Bath Production of The Deep Blue Sea, by Terrance Rattigan, opens at the Vaudeville Theatre 13 May 2008, following previews from 29 April - booking to 19 July 2008

Directed by Edward Hall, the cast includes Greta Scacchi, Simon Williams, Dugald Bruce Lockhart, Tim McMullan

Hester Collyer, the daughter of a clergyman and wife of a judge is foundering in the closing stages of a hopeless affair. Freddie Page, her lover, a handsome but shallow ex-Battle of Britain pilot, is out of his depth in their relationship, overwhelmed by the strength of an emotion he is incapable of reciprocating.

Greta Scacchi (Hester Collyer), is an internationally renowned film, theatre and television actress. Her many film credits include Heat and Dust; White Mischief; Emma; Beyond the Sea; The Browning Version; Presumed Innocent; and The Player. Her London stage credits include "The Guardman" at the Albery in 2000.

Simon Williams' (Sir William Collyer), many television appearances range from Upstairs, Downstairs to Don’t Wait Up, and from Dinner ladies to Cutting It and Dr Who. His London stage credits include "The Old Country" at the Trafalgar Studios in 2006; "The Constant Wife" at the Apollo in 2002; "The Winslow Boy" at the Gielgud in 1994.
