TheatreUpClose presents Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off, by Liz Lochhead, at the King's Head Theatre, a 125-seat pub fringe venue, in Angel, north London, from 29 May to 22 June 2013.

Directed by Robin Norton-Hale, designs & costumes by Katie Bellman. Cast includes Nora Wardell (Mary), Sarah Thom (Elizabeth), Shelley Lang (La Corbie), Sean Hart (Darnley), Jamie Laird (Bothwell), Prentis Hancock (Knox), Michael Longhi (Riccio).

Exploring the rivalry and mutual fascination between Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I. This murky tale of political and sexual intrigue examines Mary's legacy through the eyes of Corbie, a carrion crow who is her unseen attendant through life and death.
