The Alchemist by Ben Jonson at The Rose Bankside

House on the Hill Productions presents The Alchemist, by Ben Jonson, at The Rose (Bankside), near Shakespeare Globe Theatre, in south London, 6 to 30 June 2013.

It is directed by Grace Wessels, designed by Rebecca Wood, with costumes by Pam Tait. Cast includes James Burgess,Jerome Thompson, Eleanor Russo, Tim Fordyce, Edward Walters, Thomas Worsley, AJ Macgivalry, Safron Beck, Shawn McCrory, Paul Valentine.

It is Victorian London, and the gentleman Lovewitt has fled to avoid the cholera epidemic, Lovewitt leaves the trio of Subtle, Face, and Dol to use his home as their headquarters to part the greedy and the gullible of their wealth.
