Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision at Novello from 4 Sep

The official web site of Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision (Sarajevo), has announced that the show be at the Novello Theatre from 4 Sep 2008 for a 10 week run.(The show is currently on a UK tour until then) The original production was performed in Australia in 2003.

With original songs written by Craig Christie & Andrew Patterson, Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision, is an interactive musical celebrating everything Eurovision, with the audience voting for their favourite song via text messaging (Voting costs the same as a regular text message).

Directed by Glynn Nicholas, choreography by Andre Hallsworth & Natalie Marsland; lighting by Trudy Dalgleish; set design & costumes by Richard Jeziorny.

"We are in Sarajevo, who have somehow won the rights to host this year's competition. Each audience member will be assigned to one of the ten competing countries as they enter the venue." Competing countries are Italy, Estonia, Iceland, United Kingdom, Hungary, Russia, Ireland, Greece, Germany, Sweden.
