Tickets now on sale for "A Life In The Theatre"


Tickets are now on sale for David Mamet's comedy A Life In The Theatre which opens at the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue on 2 Feb 2005, following previews from 27 Jan, and booking to 23 April 2005.

Directed by Lindsay Posner, the play features Patrick Stewart as 'Robert' and Joshua Jackson as 'John'

Patrick Stewart is best known for playing Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the tv series "Star Trek: The Next Generation". He was last on the London stage at the Albery in 2003 in "The Master Builder". His movie credits include several "Star Trek" movies, and "Hedda", "Dune", "Lady Jane", "Excalibur", "L.A. Story", "The X Men", "Jeffrey", "Masterminds", "Conspiracy Theory", and "Moby Dick".

Joshua Jackson, making his West End stage debut, is best known as 'Pacey Witter' in the TV series "Dawson's Creek" His film credits include "The Skulls", "The Safety of Objects" & The Laramie Project

A play about two actors, stage veteran 'Robert' and aspiring young newcomer 'John'. Set both on stage and behind the scenes in a fading small town rep, the piece follows their friendship and their rivalry as they battle with the cruel uncertainties of their profession.
