Casting update for The Wild Duck at The Donmar


Casting has been confirmed for The Wild Duck, by Henrik Ibsen , in a new translation by David Eldridge, which opens at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre 13 Dec 2005, following previews from 8 Dec - running to 18 Feb 2006.

The cast includes: Ben Daniels , William Gaunt , Paul Hilton , Nicholas Le Provost , Susan Brown , Peter Eyre , Michelle Fairley , Sinead Matthews.

It is directed by Michael Grandage.

Should the truth be pursued, whatever the cost? The idealistic son of a wealthy businessman seeks to expose his father's duplicity and to free his childhood friend from the lies on which his happy home life is based.

Ben Daniels is currently starring in the Donmar's "God of Hell". His other London stage credits includes "Iphigenia At Aulis" at the Lyttelton, NT in 2004; "Three Sisters" at the Lyttelton, NT in 2003; "Tales From Hollywood" at the Donmar Warehouse in 2001; "All My Sons" at the Cottesloe, NT in 2000; "Naked" at the Playhouse in 1998.

William Gaunt's London stage credits include: "Henry V" at the Olivier, NT in 2003; "Humble Boy" at the Cottesloe & Gielgud in 2001/02;"The Cherry Orchard" at the Cottesloe & Olivier in 2001; "Albert Speer" at the Lyttelton in 2000; "The Miracle Worker" at the Wyndham's in 1994. His TV credits include the 60s series "The Champions and the BBC tv series "Next-of-Kin".

Paul Hilton's London Stage credits include: "President of an Empty Room" at the Cottesloe, NT in 2005; "Mourning Becomes Electra" at the Lyttelton, NT in 2003; "Three Sisters" at the Lyttelton, NT in 2003; "Three Sisters" at the Whitehall in 1999; "The Oresteia" at the Cottesloe, Nt in 1999; "Mysteries" for the RSC at the Barbican in 1998; "As You Like it" & " A Mad World My Masters" at Shakespeare's Globe in 1998; "Romeo & Juliet" & "Richard III" for the RSC at the Barbican in 1996.
