Wicked now booking to 30 Oct 2010

WICKED has extended its booking period - tickets now on sale to 30 Oct 2010 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre

Executive Producer Michael McCabe said: "As Wicked enters its fourth year in the West End our business continues to climb. As we are already 7% up on last year, we fully expect 2009 to be our highest grossing year to date. It's a remarkable achievement, especially in this financial climate, and we are all greatly indebted to the cast, company, orchestra and crew who work so brilliantly and tirelessly to deliver audiences such a superb experience every night."

Wicked works like a dream."THE INDEPENDENT says, "I enjoyed very little. " THE GUARDIAN says, "Efficient, knowing and highly professional but more like a piece of industrial product than something that genuinely touches the heart or mind." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "Witty, enjoyable" THE TIMES says, "Songs bang out, along with iffy lyrics and not-so-witty dialogue."

The current cast to 27 March 2010 includes Alexia Khadime (Elphaba) , Oliver Tompsett (Fiyero), Harriet Thorpe (Madame Morrible), Sam Kelly (The Wizard), Dianne Pilkington (Glinda), Natalie Anderson (Nessarose) , Alex Jessop (Boq), David Stoller (Doctor Dillamond ).

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Winnie Holzman.

Two girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, feisty and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very, very popular. WICKED is the story of these two unlikely friends and how they end up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.
