A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, at the Queen's Hornchurch, in north east London, from 24 Sep to 16 Oct 2010.

Book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

Directed by Bob Carlton, designed by Mark Walters, lighting by Chris Howcroft, choreography by Donna Berlin, costumes by Rodney Ford, sound by Rick Clarke.

Starring members of cut to the chase… Julian Littman (Pseudolus), James Earl Adair, Lindsay Ashworth, Christine Holman, Simon Jessop, Tom Jude, Natasha Moore, Stuart Organ, Wendy Paver, Matthew Quinn, Sarah Scowen, Oliver Seymour-Marsh, Steve Simmonds, Joe West.

Stalking Ancient Rome’s bustling streets, crafty slave Pseudolus attempts to win his freedom by helping his smitten master woo the beautiful Philia next door. But the road to love is never smooth, as our sneaky hero finds himself having to dodge a riotous succession of stunning surprises and cunning disguises in his amorous quest. It’s plotting, passions and potions – all in the pursuit of love and liberty!
