"THE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW" EXTENDS ONE WEEK AT YOUNG VIC TO 19 OCT 02

The Daughter-in-Law by DH Lawrence, has been extended by one week at the Young Vic Theatre to 19 Oct 02.

The show received reasonable notices from the popular press when it opened on 12 Sep 02: THE INDEPENDENT says, "David Lan's production gets the Young Vic's new season off to an impressive start." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "This is an enormously rewarding play." THE GUARDIAN says, "Slightly stolid David Lan revival."

It is directed by David Lan , designed by Francis O'Connor, with lighting by Matthew Richardson.

During the miner's strike of 1912, newly-married Minnie discovers her husband Luther has made another woman pregnant. The drama reaches boiling point as Minnie struggles to reclaim her husband - not only from her rival but also from his formidable mother.
