MADNESS MUSICAL "OUR HOUSE" DELAYED BY ONE WEEK



The previews and opening night of the Madness musical Our House, have been delayed at the Cambridge Theatre. The show will now open 28 Oct 02, following previews from 7 Oct 02. (Originally the show was to open 21 Oct following previews from 30 Sep 02).

Our House is a brand new musical written by Tim Firth and featuring the greatest hits of 80's pop band, MADNESS!

As well as featuring two all new songs written by Madness, the show is full of the band's greatest musical numbers, including "Baggy Trousers", "It Must Be Love", "Driving In My Car","House Of Fun" and "Night Boat to Cairo".

Casting includes Michael Jibson (Joe Casey), Julia Gay (Sarah), Lesley Nichol (Kath Casey), Ian Reddington (Dad), Matt Cross (Reecey), Tameka Empson (Billie), Richard Frame (Emmo), Andrea Francis (Angie), Oliver Jackson (Lewis), James Beattie, Ruth Brown, Deborah Bundy, Peter Caulfield, Mary Doherty, Alison Forbes, Mark Hilton, Robyn Issac, Debbie Jenkins, Paul Kemble, Lynden O'Neill, Mike Scott, Darren Smithers, Andrew Spillett, Dean Stobbart, Chris Thatcher, Carryl Thomas, Hannah Tollman, Oliver Tomsett

The musical is directed by Matthew Warchus with choreography by Peter Darling, lighting by Mark Henderson and set & costumes by Rob Howell.

Billed as a London love story, "Our House" centres on two teenagers living in North London to the backdrop of Madness' hit songs.

Madness frontman Graham 'Suggs' McPherson said: "We've always been theatrical without understanding theatre. I think our songs, in terms of the theatre, have become timeless and I have been really excited watching this show develop."

Our House is the story of Joe and his girlfriend Sarah who live in modern-day London, and follows two different courses his life could have taken following a petty crime.
