Eden by Eugene O'Brien, at the Arts theatre from 24th Oct 02

Eugene O'Brien's Eden will open at the Arts Theatre on 30th Oct 02, following previews from 24th Oct and booking to 11th Jan 03. (Booking is now open!)

This Abbey Theatre, Dublin production was to have opened at the Arts Theatre in February this year but was postponed because the original stars of the show had other commitments.

The play, which won both the Irish Times and the Steward Parker awards for Best New Play, premiered on the Peacock stage at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin in February 2000 and returned last year for a Christmas season.

The show will feature the original cast Don Wycherley and Catherine Walsh.

It is directed by Conor McPherson.

Billy and Breda haven't had a night out together in years. Tonight, Breda's lost the weight and gained a babysitter and a new outfit and is ready to sweep Billy off his feet down at Flanagans. But Billy has other plans - most of them involving Imelda Egan.

This two-hander is the portrait of good times gone bad for two people who have promised to be together forever.
