"ON AN AVERAGE DAY" EXTENDS ONE WEEK TO 3RD NOV 02

On An Average Day , a new play by John Kolvenbach, has been extended by one week to 3rd Nov 02 at the Comedy Theatre.

The play starring Woody Harrelson and Kyle MacLachlan, opened to mixed notices from the popular press last month: THE INDEPENDENT says, "Undemanding, unsurprising and unmemorable." THE GUARDIAN says, "John Crowley's fleet production embraces the play's ambiguities, draws out its sly humour and deftly sidesteps its potential for mawkishness." THE TIMES says, " There’s some good, zigzag, funny-crazy writing..." THE EVENING STANDARD says, "The questions are endlessly unanswered in John Crowley's unilluminating production" THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "Fresh, funny and far from average."

Woody Harrelson, aged 40, is best known as 'Woody' Boyd' ' in the hit US tv comedy "Cheers". His film credits include "Natural Born Killers". Harrelson has been in the news lately after an alleged incident in a taxi, he spent a night at Belgravia police station. He will answer bail on Monday (1st Jul), when he is likely to discover if he is to be charged.

Kyle MacLachlan, aged 43, tv credits include "Twin Peaks" and 'Trey' in "Sex And The City".

It is directed by John Crowley, designed by Scott Pask with lighting by Mark Henderson.

The play is set in rural upstate New York, the play concerns Jack who unexpectedly returns home after a 15-year absence to find his abandoned younger brother, Robert living in a private world that's far from ordinary. Robert is on trial for a bizarre traffic incident, is hoarding a shower full of newspaper clippings and has something unsavory living in the fridge. And what has Jack been hiding from Robert all these years? Even on an average day extraordinary things can happen.
