Briefly tell us how you became involved with Priscilla.
Auditioned for the production in 2008 and again in November last year and was thrilled to be given the chance to play the role of Bernadette

Briefly tell us about the character of Bernadette
She likes to think of herself as a class act. She dresses rather like a 50s film star, but because of living through difficult times with the sex change etc. she can be tough and knows how to take good care of herself.

Your first stage performance?
The Mad March Hare in ‘Alice’

Career highlight to date?
Film – The Bank Job/ Javert in Les Mis/ Priscilla

What roles would you most like to play?
Sweeney Todd. Leontes in The Winter’s Tale

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Keep smiling and don’t fall over the furniture

What has been your most embarrassing moment on stage?
Walking onstage in As You Like It – a scene too early!

What is the most annoying part of your job?
Painting my nails everyday.

If you had not been a performer, what might you have done instead?
A landscape garden designer

Soho House, Spice of Life, Shadow Lounge

Maggie Smith, Cate Blanchett, Bette Davies, Al Pacino and Brad Pitt

I read a lot of garden design and plant books

What was the last film you saw, and name some of your favourite movies?
A Single Man, Midnight Cowboy, Far From Heaven, All About Eve and Gladiator

Shameless, Prison Break, The Good Wife

Favourite holiday destinations?
Bali

Do you have any hobbies?
Gardening

My cats, a case of good red wine and the complete works of Shakespeare.

Don Gallagher Credits
Don Gallagher's musical stage roles include Roger de Bris in The Producers, Javert in Les Miserables and Pierre Guerre in Martin Guerre, all in the West End.

His other stage credits include His Dark Materials and Stuff Happens for the National Theatre and Henry IV parts 1 & 2, Painter of Dishonour and Back to Methuselah for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

On television his many credits include Poirot, Casualty, Miss Marple, Hancock and Joan, Victoria and Albert, Sea of Souls and Ballet Shoes.

Film includes: The Bank Job released in 2008
