We spent Thanksgiving in London and had our dinner at a London Pub called The Nag's Head. After pre-booking OLIVER we went to the half-price ticket booth each day to see what was available. It was quite interesting to do it this way as we never knew what we might end up seeing but a lot was always available. OLIVER was excellent. I had seen the show a year or so back with JONATHAN PRICE but I think the show is better now than it was then. Strong performances by all and particularly the actors who played Nancy and Fagin. MISS SAIGON (for the 3rd time). Since we got nose-bleed seats I must commend the staging of this show for keeping in mind sight-lines of those seated at 20,000 feet. We enjoyed the aerial view of the show and it was a powerful as ever. POPCORN - my favorite new play. It might be called "natural-born killers meet Quentin Tarantino" and it was very well done and funny as hell. I would go and see it again. Hope it comes to the U.S. COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE....not worth the ticket. More slapstick than wit...not very clever at all. It looked more like "The Smothers Brothers Do Willy S." EVENTS/ATTRACTIONS TO AVOID IN LONDON. Medieval Feast at the Ivory Warehouse. Boring & bad food. Also the Dungeon of Horror or whatever it is called. I point these out to save you time and money. I have done them and wished I didn't. London was great. It is always great. I never get tired of going. Winter is better than summer because there aren't the crowds. But can someone answer this question? We went to the changing of the guard and they led a goat into Buckingham Palace all decked out along with the guard. What is that???
