Covent Garden Festival has been postponed indefinitely because of lack of sponsorship.The event has been struggling since BOC withdrew its £250,000 sponsorship
last year, following a takeover by the French firm Liquide.
Artistic director Kenneth Richardson told The Stage: "I feel very sad because I have spent the last five years building it up. But 2001 was a great festival, so we go out on a high."
