Pixie Lott was born in Bromley, London in January 1991. At the age of 11 Lott was awarded a scholarship to Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Art. She had her West End debut, at age 14, appearing in London Palladium’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and in the same year she performed as Louisa von Trapp in BBC Ones’s Celebrate the Sound of Music.
She is best known as a singer/ songwriter with a number of her songs reaching number one in the UK Singles Chart, such as her debut single “Mama Do” and “Boys and Girls”. Lott has released three albums from 2009 to 2014, obtaining six Top 10 singles in the UK. As well as appearing in films such as Fred, Lott has also been a contestant in the twelfth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, where she reached the quarter final before being knocked out by Blue singer Simon Webbe.
