Broadway hit Hamilton in London?

The latest hit Broadway musical Hamilton, which has recently officially opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York, may soon be on its way to London's West End. The show, which is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton features music and lyrics by Lin Manuel-Miranda, the writer of Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights and originally opened off-Broadway. It has since become the hottest ticket in town after unanimous critical reviews and exceptional audience word of mouth. British producer Cameron Mackintosh told London's Evening Standard that there is "every intention" for the show to transfer to London, saying it could open as soon as 2017. Miranda supported the statement, saying "I would be honoured to open the show in London".
