Could Cher the Musical land on Broadway?


The New York Post has reported that Cher: the Musical could be one step closer to a Broadway production as writer Rick Elice has this week taken the first draft of the script to 'Hamilton' producer Jeffrey Seller. Based on the life of international pop icon Cher, the musical is thought to be biopic in nature and will include her hit songs "Believe", "Turn Back Time" and "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves". Rick Elice is a Tony Award-winning musical theatre writer behind hit shows such as Jersey Boys andThe Addams Family has has reportedly been working alongside Cher since last year on a first draft of the script. Cher appeared on Broadway in 1982 in "Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" but it is not known whether she would play herself in the production...
