Hedwig and Something Rotten eye London?

Something Rotten

It is being reported that Tony Award-winning musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch could be heading to the West End. John Cameron Mitchell, who wrote the book for the show, has said that the creative team are "trying to get the right person" to play the title role for a London venue. The production opened on Broadway's Belasco Theatre in April 2014 and is currently taking bookings to October 2015.

The Evening Standard reports that the Tony-nominated musical comedy Something Rotten!, which opened on Broadway on 22 April 2015, may premiere in the West End as early as 2016. Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, the show is set in the 1590's where two brothers - Nick and Nigel Bottom - attempt to outdo everyone's favourite celebrity, William Shakespeare, by creating the world's first... musical!
