Mean Girls: The Musical Tickets London Information

Based on the cult 2004 comedy film, Mean Girls has been adapted for the stage by writer Tina Fey. Opening in New York in April 2018, the hilarious Mean Girls musical definitely brought "fetch" to Broadway audiences with its witty humour and gags.

The original film, written by Fey and starring Lindsay Lohan, concerned home-schooled student Cady Heron who returns to the US following a twelve-year stay in Africa. While settling down in a suburban Illinois town, a clique of popular girls at the school take an interest in Cady and take her under their wing, but after time, Cady comes to realise how awful 'the Plastics' really are. The film grossed over $120 million, and also spawned a sequel, Mean Girls 2.

Following a pre-Broadway run in Washington, D.C., the musical premiered at the August Wilson Theatre on 12th March. With a score by Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin, Mean Girls features songs such as "A Cautionary Tale", "Stupid with Love", "Meet the Plastics", and "Someone Gets Hurt" Mean Girls played its final performance on Broadway on 11 Mar. 2020.

Given the popularity of the film in Britain, it's likely Mean Girls could transfer across the pond to London soon, with ticket information to become available soon.
