The Finborough Theatre, a pub theatre in west London, has today announced details of its upcoming Winter 2016/17 season which concentrates on unique rediscoveries with works from the 1930s, 1940s, 1970s and 1980s. New writing is also represented by their eighth new writing festival, Vibrant 2016 – A Festival of Finborough Playwrights which runs from 30 October–17 November 2016.

Hampstead, 1936. In a shabby basement flat, aspiring playwright Clive Monkhams dreams of a West End hit and winning Francie’s heart. His bankrupt mother Rhoda, a faded actress, frets about the bills and the fortunes of her penniless daughters while reminiscing about her glory days. Clive’s family and an entourage of bohemian dependants all need him to make it big.
