1980s on a terraced road in Lancashire, the country is in the grips of recession and industrial decline. Unemployment is high and life is low. People are struggling to get by. But for the inhabitants of this Lancashire street, there's a party to go to. The vagrant Scullery is your tour guide, introducing you to an array of characters all trying to find some kind of escape from their down trodden existence. Road gives an insight into the lives of those who felt forgotten by the rest of Great Britain; Jerry remembers the war, when he was young, when things were better. Skin Lad's trying to meditate. Louise and Carol just want a night out. In the middle of it all, and with Scullery as your guide, you’d better hold tight, keep your arms inside the car, and join the residents of the Road for one unforgettable night.
