The Retreat is a brilliant new comedy drama written by Sam Bain, the BAFTA award-winning co-writer and co-creator of Peep Show, Fresh Meat and Four Lions, directed by Kathy Burke. Her acting credits include Harry Enfield and ChumsGimme Gimme Gimme and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and directing credits include Out in the Open, Born Bad and The Stock Da’wa at Hampstead Theatre, The Quare Fellow and Once a Catholic at Tricycle Theatre and Smaller at the Lyric Theatre.

Casting has been announced for the world premiere of Sam Bain’s play The Retreat, which will be directed by Kathy Burke at the Park Theatre in November. Bain’s play is about Luke, a former city worker who now lives in a stone hut on a remote mountain in the Scottish Highlands as he tries to find inner peace. However, his obnoxious older brother Tony finds him and threatens his quest to settle his mind. Adam Deacon will play Tony, Samuel Anderson will play Luke and Yasmine Akram will play Tara.
