"Bombshells" to close 2 weeks early 16 Oct 2004

Bombshells, by Joanna Murray-Smith, starring Caroline O'Connor which transfered from Edinburgh Festival to Arts Theatre, on 3 Sep 2004, will close two weeks early on 16 Oct 2004 (The show was originally booking to 30 Oct 2004)

It is directed by Simon Phillips, designed by Shaun Gurton, lighting by David Murray.

Bombshells, which was written especially for Caroline O'Connor, premiered in Melbourne, Australia in 2001.

Caroline O'Connor's London stage credits include "Mack & Mabel" at the Piccadilly Theatre in 1995 and "Romance Romance" at the Gielgud in 1997.

Bombshells is a series of outrageous portraits of six women barely coping with the stresses of modern life, and Caroline O'Connor plays all six of them:

Meryl Davenport - A mother who delivers her non-stop day in a rapid-fire internal monologue;

Tiggy Entwhistle - A cactus lover bravely attempting to rise above her relationship crisis;

Mary O'Donnell - A feisty teenage schoolgirl competing in a talent quest;

Theresa McTerry - An increasingly disillusioned bride on her wedding day;

Winsome Webster - A widow with an appetite for the unexpected;

Zoe Struthers - An American cabaret singer who's had her fair share of personal problems.
