It has been announced that Brexit the Musical will transfer to the Waterloo East Theatre following a sold-out run at the Canal Cafe Theatre for nine performances between 20 and 29 January 2017.

"Brexit the Musical follows the misfortunes of Cameron, Boris, Farage, May and others as they flounder through the new world that they and their friends have created. "Brexit means Brexit", but what the hell does that mean? Only this drama will get you near to an answer."

Featuring words by David Shirreff, music by Rusell Sarre and Frederick Appleby it is directed by Lucy Appleby with musical direction by Frederick Appleby.

The musical is described as Gilbert & Sullivan meets Brecht & Weill, with some Tom Lehrer thrown in, "a romp through the fiasco and aftermath of the June 2016 Referendum."

Brexit the Musical is the fourth musical by the Shirreff/Sarre writing team after Broke Britannia! (2010 - London and Edinburgh), EuroCrash! (2012-13 London, Berlin, Frankfurt), and Barack & the Beanstalk (London 2014).

Tickets for the transfer are now on sale.
