Full casting announced for West End transfer of Home, I’m Darling

Home I'm Darling

The full casting for the upcoming West End transfer of Home, I’m Darling at the Duke of York’s Theatre has been announced.

The play tells the story of  high-flying businesswoman Judy who adopts the lifestyle of a 1950s housewife after being made redundant from her financial career. At first, it seems as though Judy and her husband live in harmonious matrimony. But with time ticking on, things start to unravel and channelling the preconceived notions of a domestic goddess becomes difficult.

Alongside the previously announced casting of Katherine Parkinson reprising the role of Judy, she is once again joined by Richard Harrington who will reprise the role of Judy’s husband Johnny, after playing the role at the National Theatre in 2018.

The cast is completed by Charlie Allen, Susan Brown, Ellie Burrow, Siubhan Harrison, Jane MacFarlane and Hywel Morgan.

The announced West End cast of Home, I’m Darling will reprise their roles in the national tour, apart from Richard Harrington. The tour casting for the role of Johnny is yet to be announced.

The latest play written by Laura Wade, Home, I’m Darling was first performed at Theatr Clywd, before going on to play at the National Theatre in 2018. The National Theatre casting included Katherine Parkinson and Richard Harrington as Judy and Johnny, alongside Sian Thomas and Kathryn Drysdale.

The upcoming production of Home, I’m Darling will play at the Duke of York’s Theatre until 13th April 2019, before embarking on a nationwide tour playing at the Theatre Royal Bath, The Lowry in Salford and Theatr Clwyd.

Home, I’m Darling will run at the Duke of York’s Theatre from 26th January to 13th April 2019.
