RJC Productions present the London premiere of The Stage Hands, a new comedy written and directed by Becky Callaghan, at Waterloo East Theatre, a 100 to 150 capacity fringe venue in south east London, from 2 to 7 December 2014.
Synopsis: "Depicts the final few hours before the opening of the fictional play ‘Another Day in Paradise’, and the consequences of upsetting the backstage team moments before curtains go up."
The play is based on writer/director Becky Callaghan's own personal experience as a Stage Manager. Becky described her inspiration behind writing the play as follows: "Most production companies I met were really good to work with, but occasionally we would get ones that were awful. I couldn’t understand why they would be so unpleasant, and often wondered whether they realised that we could make them look like fools onstage if we wanted to. I thought how funny that scenario could be, and the idea came from there."
