First look at Side Show London premiere at the Southwark Playhouse

The UK premiere of Side Show opens this week at the Southwark Playhouse in south London. Inspired by the true story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, Side Show is a remarkable musical about love, acceptance and embracing the unique.

The production stars Louise Dearman, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Haydn Oakley (Terry Connor), Jay Marsh (Jake), Dominic Hodson (Buddy Foster), Christopher Howell (The Boss/Sir), Lala Barlow (Bearded Lady), Oliver Marshall (Dog), David Muscat (Human Pin Cushion), Nuwan Hugh Perera (Sheik Fakir), Agnes Pure (Snake Lady), Nuno Queimado (Reptile Man), Kirstie Skivington (Half Man Half Woman) and Genevieve Taylor (Dolly Dimples).

Featuring a score by Dreamgirls composer Henry Krieger and lyrics by Bill Russell, Side Show is a legendary Broadway musical which initially opened in 1997 and has since been revived to critical acclaim. This new production features a book by Bill Russell, with additional material by Bill Condon and is directed by Hannah Chissick with choreography by Matthew Cole and design by takis.

Side Show runs at the Southwark Playhouse until 3 December 2016.
