In the last week alone, there have been ten resignations from Theresa May's cabinet over Brexit, Donald Trump has met Vladimir Putin and the Queen, and we all had to face that, depressingly, football wasn't coming home.

Imagine, then, preparing an hour-long show about the news to take to the Edinburgh Fringe, and keeping it relevant. That's exactly the plan for NewsRevue, which has been running in London since 1979 and is a Guinness World Record for being the World's Longest Running Live Comedy Show.

Previous casts of the show have included Rory Bremner, Sara Pascoe, Alistair McGowan and Bill Bailey, but the show promises an ever-evolving cast each year in Edinburgh, and at the Canal Café Theatre in Little Venice, London.

We met with some of the fresh-faced Edinburgh cast of this year in rehearsals as they prepare to head up to the Fringe.

NewsRevue is at the Canal Café Theatre every Thursday to Sunday, and at the Underbelly in Edinburgh from 2nd to 27th August (not 15th).
